sugar sticks

So the picture's blurry. My apologies. I just had to take a photo of this RIDICULOUS mascot. Let me get this straight: it's a smiling bass drum, with Dum Dum Pops as mallets? I mean...really? A happy little drum?

I am embarrassed to admit that I have sunk so low as to ravage a bag of these things. I do have standards you know, but when you live with someone who just doesn’t buy sweets, times get desperate.

This is a mostly empty bag of lollipops from Halloween. I went out of my mind Sunday night for chocolate, which I convinced myself could be satisfied by sugar --- of any kind. Searching through the bag for suitable flavors, I found Cream Soda.

This is a very very sad Gabo (embarrassed to even post such a haunting image, but you have to know that I too suffer and am not all sunshine all the time!). Poor poor me and my little lollipop.

To dissuade my disappointment that these were little spheres of straight sugar instead of OREOS or a chocolate bar, I decided to have more than just one. I mean really, they’re SO SO little, right? After my Cream Soda, I moved on to Butterscotch, which Ryan found! Ryan has two wicked eyes for discerning the microscopic fruit icons, so I was in luck. He also found a Coconut, which I traded very happily for my Pineapple-Coconut. What a swell swell guy…

After those two very satisfying pops, I finished my gorge fest with Green Apple, which is sickening, but gorgeous, and also strangely quite tasty. Was it all worth it? Meh…but it makes good photos. :)
